About the Book Madhayaanai

NEP 2020 – Madhayaanai (The Rogue Elephant) is penned by Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. The book offers an in-depth analysis of the National Education Policy 2020, introduced by the Union government under BJP rule. It critically examines the policy’s underlying ideology, background, and anticipated impact on Indian education, especially from a Tamil Nadu perspective.

Madhayaanai Book Release Event Highlights

The official book launch took place on May 17, 2025, at Anna Centenary Library, a prominent literary venue in Chennai. The event was marked by the presence of distinguished guests, showcasing the significance of the occasion.
The book was released by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin. Mr. Digvijaya Singh and Mr. Gopala Gowda received the English edition, while Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai and Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin received the Tamil edition.

Author Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi presented an ankusam (elephant goad) to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, symbolising the DMK and the Dravidian Model Government’s resolve to protect Tamil Nadu and its students from the “rogue elephant” of NEP 2020, introduced by the BJP-led Union Government.
