In Tamil Nadu, the Group IV examination was conducted in June last year for 9,491 vacancies, including posts for Junior Assistants. Among those who successfully cleared the exam, 217 candidates opted for the School Education Department. An online appointment counseling session was held on March 15, during which 186 candidates chose the Directorate of School Education, 24 candidates opted for the Tamil Nadu Public Libraries Department, and 7 candidates selected the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation.

The appointment order distribution ceremony was held at the Chennai Secretariat. Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi participated in the event, personally handing over the appointment orders to all the selected candidates and wishing them success in their service.

Proud to secure the first rank at the state level!

Speaking at the event, Lakshmi Priya from Tiruchirappalli shared that she had secured the 562nd rank in the TNPSC Group-IV examination and, during the counseling for government postings, opted for the School Education Department, thereby achieving the first rank at the state level. She said, “I chose to study with confidence, setting aside an IT career. I feel proud to have secured a government posting in the School Education Department. I sincerely thank the Honorable Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister, and the School Education Minister.”

Having studied in a government school myself and now obtaining a government job is a matter of great pride.
