Guides and Scouts Golden Jubilee Celebration

In January 2025, in Manapparai, which falls under his party’s Trichy South district limits, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi grandly organised the week-long Scouting Movement Golden Jubilee celebrations and the Centenary Mass Rally honouring Muthamizharignar Kalaignar.

Over 20,000 scouts and guides from neighbouring countries, including Malaysia and Sri Lanka, as well as from 24 states across India, took part in this celebration, which was inaugurated on January 28 by Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

On the concluding day of this Golden Jubilee Mass Rally, which earned international acclaim, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu graced the occasion. In the Chief Minister’s presence, the highest honour of the Scouting Movement — the ‘Silver Elephant Award’ — was announced for the Minister. The Chief Minister, visibly moved, expressed his joy as though he were a proud father, creating a moment of great elation for all present.

Let's Celebrate Parents

Before that excitement could fade, on February 22 in Virudhachalam, Cuddalore district, the School Education Minister organised the 7th Zonal Conference of the Tamil Nadu State Parent-Teacher Association. The event saw a sea of over 1.32 lakh parents, teachers, and students in attendance. The Honourable Chief Minister graced the conference, bringing gifts for the students and filling them with joy. It was on this very stage that the Chief Minister lauded Minister Anbil Mahesh, declaring that his tenure marked the golden era of the School Education Department.

Welfare Initiatives in Minister Anbil Mahesh’s Constituency

Marking a hat-trick of achievements, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu participated in various government and welfare scheme events in Nagapattinam district, which falls under the responsibility of Minister Anbil Mahesh. The Chief Minister inaugurated government projects worth ₹423 crore and distributed welfare assistance. Conducting the welfare distribution ceremony on the scale of a grand conference, Minister Anbil Mahesh earned the Chief Minister’s praise for “achieving victory in Nagai.”

Between January 28 and March 3 — within just 35 days — Minister Anbil Mahesh successfully organised three major events as grand conferences. What made this ‘hat-trick highlight’ even more remarkable was that all three occasions were especially close to the Chief Minister’s heart.
