Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi 234/77 School Visit

The Dravidian model government of Thiru M.K. The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has been implementing several outstanding programs designed to promote the welfare and talents of students. Not only are these programs being introduced, but the department also continuously monitors and evaluates whether the initiatives are effectively reaching the students.

In this regard, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has personally visited schools across the state to conduct on-site inspections.

One of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department’s notable initiatives is the 234/77 visit.
Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi conducted inspections of government and government-aided schools across 234 assembly constituencies, based on 77 categories. This survey, which began on October 10, 2022, was completed on November 27, 2024.

At the grand 7th Mandal Parent-Teacher Association Conference held in Virudhachalam under the theme “Let’s Celebrate Parents”, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi presented his school inspection report to the Chief Minister through the digital application ‘Orumaikann’.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, launched the applicationand praised it, saying,“Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi’s tenure marks the golden era of the School Education Department.”

Through the 234/77 initiative, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has accomplished what no other School Education Minister in India had even imagined. He has made history as the first education minister to personally visit and inspect every school across the state.

This initiative has helped change the perception that government schools are a symbol of poverty; instead, it has instilled pride among both citizens and students. This is clearly reflected in the increasing enrollment in government schools. Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi’s continuous efforts have once again demonstrated that, under his leadership, the School Education Department has achieved remarkable growth and progress.
